♥ How did you first meet?
We met camping at Mount Warning with a group of friends and over a couple months we got to know each other which grew into a very intense love for one another.
♥ What was the proposal like?
Brendan took me on a weekend away to Byron Bay which was absolutely lovely! We stayed in a very lovely motel called 'Aabi's at Byron'. On Sunday, December 10th 2017 we cooked up lasagna (one of my favourite meals) and ate it on the beautiful set up of couches there were looking up at the stars, also enjoying a bottle of champagne that my dad gave Brendan for that night. After dinner we went into the spa and relaxed for a bit. On our way out of the spa I went to grab my towel and a little white box fell out. Astonished, I picked the box up and opened it but there was nothing inside (obviously I was expecting a ring to be inside and I thought I had accidentally dropped it) so I started to freak out looking on the ground, as I turned around to tell him "I think I dropped it" he was on one knee holding the ring! As I started crying he asked me to marry me and, of course, I said YES!
♥ What was most important to you for your special day?
That my fiance shows up haha. Apart from that probably the dress and the photos as well as having my family there having a good time.
♥ What did you love about Pelican Waters Golf Club?
The service, especially when I was a bit down about things not going my way, one of the ladies came and made me feel a lot better and cheered me up a lot more then I was expecting which was absolutely wonderful rather then having some place where none of the staff care. It was a very friendly happy environment.
♥ Favourite memory?
Seeing my man at the end of the aisle, hehe. Also the first dance and the yummy food! Also our celebrant Dee, she was so lovely and made the ceremony so memorable and beautiful as well as all the styling done by Cloud Nine. Let's just say that WHOLE day was the best!
♥ Where did you honeymoon?
We went to Nadi, Fiji for 10 days. It was absolutely beautiful! We stayed at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa. We visited the local town and took a boar ride to Savala Island which had the most incredible crystal clear waters and beaches. We loved the food and learning about Fijian history and culture.
♥ What suppliers did you use for your wedding?
Photography - Will & Manni - Will was a friend of mine from primary school) they have an Instagram page called @willandmanni.
Florist - Redcliffe City Florist - their beautiful flowers exceeded my expectations and that was probably one thing that I was most happy with the turn out.
Wedding dress - Luv Bridal Maroochydore -I had visited this store before as it is my favourite bridal dress store. I had also previously seen the dress that I ended up choosing before I went in for dress fittings. That dress was the very first dress I tried on so I tried other dresses on to make sure it was THE ONE and it was!! They have so many different styles and are very good priced (for wedding dresses) which I love and they have such lovely service.
Cake chef - my beautiful mum Maria Ortega made my lovely cake. Red velvet, my favourite!
Hair - my friend Gabby Maxwell has her own home hairdressing business and she did an absolutely lovely job with my hair.
Makeup - Another school friend, Maddi Forshaw is absolutely amazing at what she does and I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend her! And her prices are so reasonable! She has an Instagram page for her makeup named @makeupbymaddison__
Suits - Rodger David suit shop in Maroochydore, they had an absolutely amazing navy suit that highlighted my Mans curve as I wasn't happy with other suit places as their suits were just straight which made Brendan look very odd and square (although still sexy) hehe. But Rodger David supplied everything and gave Brendan very nice shape and he loved it especially because it was breathable material 50% cotton 50% polyester.
